A few Paragliding Flights in true 3d – requires red blue glasses
These were shot in South Africa using 2 identical Panasonic Lumix FX37 digital cameras. This is just a sample, I took various clips with different toe ins, and am still experimenting with the settings. Both of these have had the left/right eye adjusted to give a decent 3d view by moving one image slightly horizontally – otherwise there is too big a difference between the shots and your brain doesn’t process them correctly

Gin Switch light weight paragliding harness
Mike Semanoff and Chris Santacroce of Superfly inc. talk about the features of the Gin Switch light weight paragliding harness. The GIN Switch is a reversible airbag harness/rucksack that is lightweight, yet makes no compromises in safety or comfort. Simply turn the rucksack inside out to convert it to a certified AIR BAG harness with a ready rescue connection. Comfort in flight is superb, due to the geometry of the harness and the shaped and reinforced back. The Switch represents a growing trend of flying with split legs, rather than a seat plate. This means that you have a more natural relationship with your wing: feedback is enhanced, but so is stability.
Day after The Purple Taco – Paragliding accident on Lake Isabella April 2008
This accident was very expensive and I have lost partial vision in my right eye. Wing exploded on impact and my harness got shredded in pieces so that is why my harness didn’t float. The back piece had blown out and it was nothing there to keep me afloat. I literally almost drowned. There are many things we can do to make ourselves safer while doing maneuvers. Wearing life jacket should be mandatory on every clinic. Yes I did have my reserve and you can see it out just seconds before impact. I throw it as soon as I could right after I heard my instruction telling me to do so. My opinion is that he gave those instructions too late. He was saying I was fine so I thought I was. I had no idea I was so low.
