Kiting (Ground Handling, Dancing with my Wing, Paragliding)
Okay… kiting can be hard work, as this video will attest. I figure that I put in about 50 minutes of kiting for every 1 minute spent in the air. Low winds at first, to no winds, to high winds at end. The really tough part about kiting in the desert in the summer are the switchy, gusty and erratic winds… great practice as long as you don't get dragged like I did previously.

Tom Arnold paragliding at Perranporth, Cornwall, 28th May 20
A little video of me flying at Perranporth on a lovely day in May 06. Beautiful place to fly. I only had 2 hours or so I think, having passed CP a month before, so it was a great place to get some smooth airflow airtime! 5 hours that day and I was knackered by the end of it.

I made this movie putting a micro surveillance camera in the top of my paraglider, the quality of the image was not very good, but the movie is interesting one.
