All the parts have been fitted and the bolts have been torque’d down correctly. Total weight is 13.5kg dry(14.5kg in this video as there is half a tank of fuel).
Old Eggmotor last video before sold on
Sam and I went to the field this morning but we soon realised that the harness would keep ’sagging’ down under the weight of the motor to the point where there was only a few inches between cage and ground. To play it safe we abandoned launching but I did run the engine on my back. It doesn’t feel quite as ‘pushy’ as opposed to physically restraining the motor at full power but that could be because the pressure is more evenly distributed across your back. We have re-designed the frame and Sam is going to fabricate the necessary parts at work so that we can raise the whole motor roughly one foot.
